Eloise Schmitz McDaniel Obituary - Water Valley MS

Eloise McDaniel, age 81, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born September 19, 1933 in Grenada, MS to the late Ervin and Lily Mae Floyd Schmitz. Eloise worked as a cashier for many years at Big Star in Oxford, MS and was a member of the Water Valley Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking and working in her flower gardens, but her passion was her dog Sam, with whom she spent many evenings sitting on her porch watching birds. Eloise was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. David Floyd officiating. Burial will be in the Browning Cemetery in Lafayette County, MS.

Eloise is survived by her daughters, Rita Littlejohn (Larry) of Blue Springs, MS, and Sandra Supple (John) of Oxford, MS; her son, Richard McDaniel (Vicki) of Batesville, MS; her sister, Dot Craven of Grenada, MS; three brothers, Bobby Schmitz (Lila), Paul Schmitz (Shirley) all of Water Valley, MS and Mike Schmitz (Bonnie) of Greenwood, MS; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Ray McDaniel.
