Theresa M. (Allison) Fernandes, 47, of Fairhaven passed away Thursday February 26, 2015. She was the wife of Sal J. Fernandes.
Born in Hollidaysburg, PA, the daughter of Ronald R. and MaryJane (Counsman) Allison of New Bedford, she was raised in New Bedford and had lived in Fairhaven since 1997.
Theresa was a member of the Fall River Bowling Green Fishing Club. She enjoyed playing cards, and being at the beach and on the water. She loved animals, especially her three dogs.
Survivors include her husband; her parents; three daughters, Theresa Fleurent and her husband Gary II, and Rebecca Koch and her husband Christopher, all of Fairhaven, and Colleen Rebello and her husband Armand of East Taunton; three brothers, Daniel Sheterom and his partner Joseph Earl Taylor, and Jeffrey Allison and his partner Eric Pedro, all of New Bedford, and Timothy Allison and his wife Donna of Weymouth; her mother-in-law, Katherine Fernandes of New Bedford; her in-laws, Wendy Allison of New Bedford, Michael and Jery Fernandes of Dartmouth, and Kathleen and Lawrence Genden of Florida; and four grandchildren, Gary III, Gabriel, Ella, and Evelynn Fleurent.
She was the sister-in-law of the late Dorene Fernandes and Kim Bennett.
Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM. Visiting hours will be on Monday from 4-8 PM. For directions and guestbook, please visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
