Chicopee – Charlotte A. (Pennington) Daigneault, age 83, passed away on Feb. 26, 2015 at Mount Saint Vincent Nursing Home in Holyoke. She was born on July 19, 1931 in Chicopee, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Antoinette (Bolduc) Pennington. Charlotte worked as a social worker for the Commonwealth of MA Department of Social Services for over 23 years before she retired in 1992. Charlotte was a communicant of the former Holy Name of Jesus Church. She was a graduate of Chicopee High School, Class of 1950 and took work training courses through Mass training. Charlotte was a member of the Chicopee Professional Women’s Club for 5 years. She leaves 2 sons, Robert Daigneault and his wife Marylou of Hamilton, OH and Richard Daigneault and his wife Henrietta of Springfield; 2 daughters, Marie Tamiso and her husband Gary of East Hartford, CT and Kathleen Chaisson and her husband John of Westfield; her brother Wilbur Pennington and his wife Frances of Westfield; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Bolander and her husband Shawn, Eric Tamiso, Matthew Daigneault and Heather Chaisson along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Mount St. Vincent Nursing Home, for the excellent care they have shown to Charlotte during her stay. Charlotte will be missed by all who knew her and will always be remembered, especially for her homemade apple squares. A Funeral Home Memorial Service will be held on Tues. March 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on the morning of the funeral from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
