Obituary

Whitman – Donald F. Davenport 86, a lifelong resident of Whitman, died unexpectedly Thursday February 26.

Born and raised in Whitman he was the son of the late Charles and Adeline (Palmeri) Davenport and had attended Whitman schools.

Donald was a proud Veteran having served in the US Army during World War II.

Prior to his retirement he had worked for over 20 years as a plant supervisor for Producers Dairy and later he had worked 20 years for the DPW of Whitman.

He was a true “outdoorsman” and had enjoyed camping and fishing.

He is survived by his loving son Russell Davenport of East Bridgewater, his brother Charles Davenport of Whitman, and his sisters Florence Sexton of East Bridgewater and Peggy Lawson of Brockton. He is also survived by his grandchildren Ryan Davenport and Megan White as well as several nieces and nephews.
