Claire Marie Maynard, 84, of East Taunton, died on Wednesday. Daughter of the late John & Rose Alma (Kerouac) Hallsworth III and stepdaughter of the late Joseph Frederick Roy, Claire was widowed by George Maynard after 55 years of marriage. Born and educated in New Bedford, Claire, an accordion and organ player who enjoyed bingo, cards, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and listening to country music, came to E Taunton in 1963. She was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Church in N.B. and Holy Family Church in E Taunton.
She is survived by two daughters: Irene Sylvia (E Taunton) and Jeannine (& Bill) Walters (Brockton); three sons: Roger Maynard (FL), Paul Maynard (E Taunton), and Donald (& Sharon Dever) Maynard (Taunton); and four grandchildren: Crystal Munnis, Jessica Maynard (Medford), Michaela Maynard (Taunton), and James Maynard (Montauk, NY). She was the mother of the late Raymond Maynard and Jacqueline (Maynard) Presbrey.
