W.C. “Sandy” Sandifer, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, February 24, 2015, Mr. W.C. “Sandy” Sandifer, Sr., 85, loving husband to Dorothy “Dottie” Creech Sandifer.
Mr. Sandifer was a member of Hill Baptist Church for 54 years. He was a former Deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was graduate of Clemson University and University of Texas. Mr. Sandifer retired after 30 years from DuBois Chemicals.
Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Winfrid Clifton Sandifer, Jr. (Sylvia), Gene Alan Sandifer; daughters: Sheryl Sandifer Evans (Samuel), Jane Sandifer Safford; granddaughters: Jennifer Evans, Caitlin Safford; grandsons: Justin Safford, Brandon Safford, Wesley Sandifer, Jacob Sandifer, Mitchell Sandifer, Tripp Evans; sisters-in-law: Vie Sandifer, Carol Anne Sandifer Greene; and 25 beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandson: Sam Evans; and brothers: Leland F. Sandifer, Homer V. Sandifer, and Peter B. Sandifer.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at The Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Youngblood and Rev. Fred Gunter officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
