BENWAY, Jean M. (MacNeil) Of Dedham, formerly of Roslindale, age 86, after a long illness. Beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Benway (BPD).
Loving mother of Linda M. Kennedy and her husband David E. of Hyde Park, Kathleen M. Benway and her friend, Robert McDonald of West Roxbury, Christine J. Benway of Woburn, Joseph T. Benway and his wife Virginia of Hanover, Michael J. Benway and his wife Carmel of Providence, RI.
Also survived by 7 grandchildren. Sister of Anne Hayward of Wells, ME and the late Richard, Robert and Gilbert MacNeil and Constance Ogilivie. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jean was a retired supervisor for the MBTA and member of the Carmen's Union. Longtime member of the Proper Bostonian's Quilters and was a quilting instructor at the Dedham Senior Center.

Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Thursday at 9 a.m. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Roslindale, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4 to 8. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
