EDWARD LEE JOHNSON, 97, passed away on February 22, 2015.
He was a retired employee of both Durkees Famous Foods and Brantley Security, a greeter at Churchill Downs, a member of VFW Post 1181 and an Army veteran of WW II.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Theresa and his son, Ricky.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 72 years, Anna Mae (Smith) Johnson; children, Kenneth Johnson (Betty), James Johnson (Becky) and Judy Davenport (Mike); grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, Jeffery, Eddie, Matt, Mikey, John and April; and 24 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 – 8 p.m. Tuesday.
