Sandra Jean Oakes Gordon, age 72, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, GA
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Columbus, GA, to the late Eugene Thomas Oakes and Annie Margaret Oakes Walker on December 6, 1942. She was an Over The Road trucker driver, an occupation that she dearly loved. She loved to travel and see the United States. She was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include her children: Danny Oakes and his wife Kirstin of Brentwood, TN, Damon Del Valle and his wife Billie Jo of Fayetteville, NC, Danette Nichelmann and her husband Paul of Raymond, CA, Ronald Luvisi and his wife Jenny of San Antonio, TX, , Christopher Gordon of Hogansville, GA and Adriaan Gordon of Auburn AL; one very beloved grandchild, that Mrs. Gordon considered her own daughter, Amanda Everett; twelve grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.
