WORCESTER-Mary “Maxine” G. (O’Connell) Lindgren, 92, passed away Friday, February 20th. Mary leaves five children, Donna Kirkos of Worcester, Paul Witkowski of Boston, Paula Baronowski of Pinellas Park, FL, Susan Tynan of Worcester and Barbara Auger of Worcester; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She also leaves her brother, Michael O’Connell of Worcester. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Stanley P. Witkowski, her second husband, Robert Lindgren, her daughter, Linda Slusnys and her longtime companion, John Goodrich.
Mary was born in Worcester the daughter of Michael and Sarah (McDonald) O’Connell. She was a member of St. John’s Church.
Visiting hours for Mary will be held on Monday, February 23rd from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 24th at 10:00 am at St. John’s Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics, 512 Forest Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
