Obituary

Elvera “Vera” Jean (DePari) Capone, 95 of East Walpole died February 18 in the Hannah B.G. Shaw Home for the Aged in Middleborough. She was the wife of the late (Pelligreno) “Benny” who died in 1976.

Born in Boston, March 21, 1919, the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Grillo) DePari, Mrs. Capone had lived in East Walpole for most of her life.
Mrs. Capone had been a waitress for many years at Raider’s Village, The Lord Fox Restaurant and The Lafayette House.
Vera loved her weekly dinners with family. She also loved music, singing and occasional bus trips to the casinos for a bit of gambling.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Capone Douros and her husband Dimitri of Middleboro and Maria Capone Goodwin and her husband Warren of Foxboro.
She is also survived by her granddaughter Lisa Gallinaro and her husband Alfred of Wrentham and her great-granddaughter, Alexis, who was the light of her life.
She was the sister of the late John, Fred and Ralph DePari, Eleanor Amoroso, Philomena Parry and Emma Seely.
Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 26 in the Ginley Funeral home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole from 4:00p.m.-6:45 p.m. with a service to be held at 6:45p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Middleboro Council on Aging, Adult Daycare Program, Middleboro C.O.A, 558 Plymouth Street, Middleboro, MA 02346. Please put “For Adult Daycare Program” in memo area of check.
