Obituary

Thomas J. Hogan age 63 of Carver formerly of Brockton and Halifax, died February 18, 2015 at the Boston Medical Center after a period of failing health. He is survived by the love of his life, his loving wife Dorothy “Dottie” A. (Childs) Hogan. Tom was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late Lawrence T. and Pauline (Bannister) Hogan and was a graduate of Brockton High School.
Tom was a retired sales associate in the mortgage industry and previously worked as a truck driver for local transportation companies. He enjoyed golf and often played at DW Fields Park. He also loved to play cribbage and take trips to casinos.
Tom was a friend of Bill W and was proud of his 35 years of sobriety. He had helped many people and was loved by all. Tom’s true joy in his life was his family especially his children and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his daughter Susan Leonard and her husband Daniel of W. Bridgewater and his son Thomas Hogan and his wife Elena of Woburn. He was the cherished grandfather of Matthew, Sean and Emily Leonard and Cameron and Riley Hogan. He was the brother of Lawrence of Plymouth, Daniel of Raynham, Leo of Waltham, Joseph of Colorado, John of Brockton, Mary Leavey of Brockton and the late David Hogan. He also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte.123) Brockton on Sunday 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 8 am for a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9 am. Cremation will follow.
