Ralph Mastrangelo, 88 of Somerville, died peacefully, Monday, surrounded by his family.
Born in Italy, he lived in Somerville since 1960 and was the son of the late Maria (Novia) and Rocco Mastrangelo. Ralph was a Custodian, at M.I.T. for 15 years and retired in 1992. He served during Korean war in the Army from 1949 to 1952. Ralph was a member of Societa Santa Maria DiAnzano. He loved to garden and was a proud recipient of multiple awards for his gardening creativity.

Beloved husband of Rosaria (Pastore) Mastrangelo. Devoted father of Maria Mastrangelo-Butland and her husband Edward of Randolph, Frances Anniballi and her husband David of Chelmsford, Rocco Mastrangelo and his wife Jenilde of Arlington. Loving grandfather of Jonathan, Richard and his wife Stephanie, Nicholas and his wife Alicia, Emily and Elizabeth. Brother of Antonio Mastrangelo of Somerville, Luigi Mastrangelo of Roxbury and the late Michael Mastrangelo.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Ann Church, 399 Medford St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
