Dartmouth – Maria dos Santos, age 90 of Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the widow of Jose dos Santos and the daughter of Bernardina (da Conceicao) and Jose Da Rosa.
Maria was born in Lisbon, Portugal and moved to this country in 1984. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family.
Her family includes 1 Son: Manuel Belchior of New Bedford; 1 granddaughter: Susana Sanchez of New Bedford; 2 great-grandchildren: Justina and Devin Sanchez; 1 sister: Alzira Valentim of Acushnet; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings: Jose Da Rosa, Antonio Da Rosa, and Ilidia Coelho.
A service will take place in the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be to a charity or organization of your choice in her name. Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
