Josephine A. (Papolio) Carlino, of Medford passed away peacefully at the Life Care Center of Stoneham. She was 91. Born and raised in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Monaco) Papolio, who had emigrated from Avellino, Italy.

A Medford resident for more than 50 years, Josephine married her husband Edward in 1961. She worked as a supervisor in the accounting office at Tufts University for many years before her retirement. Josephine was a devoted wife and mother who will be missed by those who knew her.

The beloved wife of Edward J Carlino, she was a devoted mother to Karen, Edward, Jr. and Joseph Carlino. She was a dear sister to Raymond Papolio of Fort Pierce, FL and the late Rose Lauria of Ronkonkoma, NY, Susan DiBerto of Medford, Angelo, Anthony and Mario Papolio all of Hartford, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday February 20th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 to 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
