NATICK: Rosalind H. (Perry) Conner, 80, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Carleton – Willard Village in Bedford following a period of declining health.
She was born in Barre, MA on July 25, 1934 the daughter of the late James Perry and Helen F. (Berry) Perry.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence H. Conner who died on April 30, 1995.
Rosalind is survived by her loving children Gary M. Conner and his wife Jane Conner of Bellingham; Cheryl A Kiessling and her husband Rev. Thomas Kiessling of Billerica and Linda J. Scalzi and her husband Anthony Scalzi of Nashua, NH. Also survived by eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Sister of Kenneth Perry of San Diego, CA and the late Robert Perry.
Rosalind has been a resident of Natick for over 42 years and spent her earlier years in Fitchburg where she graduated from Fitchburg High School. She was a graduate of the Leominster Hospital School of Nursing and had a long and productive career as a registered nurse with Newton Wellesley Hospital in the Delivery and Nursery Department retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association. She enjoyed bowling, crocheting, traveling and being with her beloved cat Panther, her companion of many years. The most important aspect of Rosalind’s life was the devotion she had for her family and all the loving times they spent together. Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude for the love and care given to their mother from the staff and caregivers on the Ross – Worthen unit at Carleton – Willard Village.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 10:00 am followed by interment in the Conner family lot in Glenwood Cemetery in South Natick.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests that memorial gifts in her memory be sent to the Alzheimer’s Assoc, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
