Dorothy Mae (Kelley) Dean passed away at the age of 97 at the Longmeadow Nursing Home on February 14, 2015. She was born in Taunton the daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth (Astin) Kelley. She was the wife of the late John H. Dean who predeceased her in 1974. She was also predeceased by brothers Milton Earl Kelley, Kenneth Irwin Kelley, William Gordon Kelley, Russell Edward Kelley, John Bradford Kelley, Frederick Malcolm Kelley and sister Myrtle Elizabeth Reagan Murphy. An honor graduate of Taunton High School class of 1938, she was a lifelong Taunton resident. She worked for eight years at Reed & Barton, retiring in 1983. “Dot” as she was known by her friends is survived by her son John Harris Dean of Fullerton, California; granddaughter Mandy Lynn Knotts and her husband Jared of Luling Texas, and great grandchildren Mason Dean Knotts and Hudson Clark Knotts. Services will be private and interment will be in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
