Vincent J. Riccardi, age 89, of Plymouth, died on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at the Newfield House in Plymouth.
He was born on February 19, 1925, in Somerville, the son of the late John & Philomenia (Batista) Riccardi. For many years, Vincent was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Vincent was the beloved husband of Helen A. (Ladny) Riccardi; devoted father of Linda Riccardi of Humarock and Carol Riccardi Gahan & her husband Richard of Wrentham; loving grandfather of Alicia, Patrick, Brendan and Emily; dear brother of Anne DeFlorio of Brighton, Ida Jasset of Watertown and Mary Rich formerly of Watertown.
Visitation will be held at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Route 106), Kingston, on Monday, February 23, 2015, from 10:00-11:00 AM, with a prayer service starting at 11:00 AM.
Interment with military honors will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, 1 Bennington Boulevard, Bourne, at 12:45 PM.
