Chester F. “Chet” Kosakoski, 84, passed away, Monday, February 16, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester.
He leaves his wife, Theresa M. (Przelomski) Kosakoski, a daughter, Lori A. wife of Kenneth Yash, a brother, Edward Kosakoski and his wife Ingrid, a sister, Evelyn Berthiaume and her husband Dennis , 2 grandchildren, Hannah and Lucas Yash all of Webster and several nieces and nephews.
Chet was born in Webster son of Francis and Veronica (Nezuh) Kosakoski. He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, worked for many years as a roofer, enjoyed yard sales and was an accomplished accordion player and for 28 years had his own Polka Band ‘Chet K” which travelled the area, and he also played with other bands until recently, he was still rehearsing with a few friends every Thursday.
Chet’s Funeral will be Thursday, February 19, 2015 with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery.
There will be a Calling Hour on Thursday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 Am prior to the Funeral Mass at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to: St. Joseph School Gymnasium Building Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA. 01570.
