New Bedford – Stella Conceicao, age 94 of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Royal Taber Nursing and Rehab Center. She was the widow of Candido J. Conceicao and the daughter of Maria (Pedro) and Manuel J. Andrade.
Stella was a lifelong resident of this area and worked as a Inspector at Berkshire Hathaway and a Presser for Economy Blouse.
Her family includes 5 children: Geraldine “Gerry” Hegarty and her husband, William, of Dartmouth, Dennis J. Conceicao and his wife, Gail, of Johnston, RI, Michael D. Conceicao and his wife, Noelma “Barbara” of Ft. Myers, Fla, Carol Rose and her husband, David, of South Dartmouth and Linda Hallett and her husband, Frank, of New Bedford; as well as 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her siblings: Manuel Andrade, Antone Andrade, Joseph Andrade, James Andrade, George Andrade, Carlos Andrade and Mary Andrade.
Her funeral will be in the funeral home on Friday at 9:00 A.M. with a Service to begin at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
