Grace M. (Hannan) Scott age 88 of Brockton, died Thursday February 12, 2015 at the Bridgewater Nursing Home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Scott. Grace was born and educated in Brockton and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
For many years Grace had been employed by Peterson Awnings in Avon and had previously worked at Stuart’s Department Store and ECS Electronics.
Grace was an avid Bingo player in the city and loved trips to Foxwoods. She also enjoyed camping. Grace’s true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Grace was the mother of Sharlene (Berrisford)Hulett of Brockton, Linda(Hinchliffe) Beckman and her companion Rick Bernier of Brockton, Lori (Hinchliffe)Wellman and her husband Michael of Raynham and the late Ronald Berrisford. She was the sister of Lillian Newell of Bridgewater and the late Louise Sinclair, Mary Whitworth, Francis “Buster” Hannan, Leo “Cheesy” Hannan and Jimmy Hannan. She also leaves six grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123) Brockton on Tuesday 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10am.
