Died early Thursday morning, February 12, 2015, at Oakridge Assisted Living Center in Stevens Point, while under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Barbara was born August 6, 1921 in St. Paul, MN. She was the daughter of the late Carl R. and Ruth (Van Deusen) Anderson. She graduated from North St. Paul High School in 1940 and Globe Business College in 1941. She married Carroll A. Halseth on July 15, 1949. Barbara worked as a secretary for a short time before beginning her family and becoming a homemaker. She did volunteer secretarial work for KCMR Radio in Mason City, Iowa. She was a member of the North Iowa Genealogy Society, Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, and Martha’s Circle at Trinity Lutheran. She helped make quilts as well as baking homemade items for the church.
Survivors include her five children Thomas (Sandy) Halseth of Plover, WI, Steven (In Suk) Halseth of Manassas, VA, Jeffrey Halseth of Ham Lake, MN, Patricia (Richard) Leonard of Springfield, VA, Peter (Chong Hui) Halseth of Triangle, VA; four grandchildren Erik, Sonya (Mike), Erin and Kelley.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Carroll; brother Phil; and sister May.
Funeral service Thursday (2/19) 12:00 Noon at ST. MARK'S EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2499 N. Helen St. (Door 7W), North St. Paul, with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Union Cemetery, Maplewood, MN
