Obituary

Catherine “Kay” Maloof, of Marshfield, formerly of Jamaica Plain, passed away on February 8, 2015. She was 89 years old.

Born and raised in Jamaica Plain, Kay was an excellent cook, specializing in Arabic food. She loved to travel, visiting many different countries in the Mid-East and Europe, as well as Brazil, and annual trips to Florida, with her beloved husband, Edward.

Kay was also a very talented seamstress, who worked for years alongside her sister, and best friend, Jenny as seamstresses. After her retirement, Kay continued to make clothes and other items for her home, until the age of 82.

Family was everything to Kay. She loved spending time with her family and moved to the South Shore in 2013 to be closer to her daughter Janice and her wife Sarah, and their beautiful children Bella and Max.

Kay was the dear and devoted wife of the late Edward G. Maloof. Loving mother of Janice Maloof-Tomaso and her wife Sarah of Marshfield. Beloved Grandmother “Ma” of Bella and Max Maloof-Tomasso. Dear sister of Faris Zeghibe and his wife Sally of Barnstable and Rose Burhoe and her husband Bob of SC. She is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services were held February 17, 2015 at the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, 8 Spring St. (at the corner of Centre St.) WEST ROXBURY.

Kay was laid to rest with her beloved Edward at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury.
