Loretta Gaudreau
Loretta (Bernier) Gaudreau, 92, of Fall River, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2015 with her loving Daughter and Son-in-law by her side. She was the wife of the late Norman (Chick) Gaudreau.
Born in Fall River, she was the Daughter of the late Nathalias and Blanche (DesForges) Bernier.
Loretta was educated at Notre Dame School and Jesus Mary Academy. She worked as a sewing machine operator for over 45 years and was a member of the ILGWU (Now Unite).
She was a lifelong member of Notre Dame Parish and was a member of the Women’s Guild and their Bowling League.
Besides bowling, Loretta enjoyed line dancing, traveling, craftwork, crossword puzzles, reading, going for long walks with her daughter, playing cards with her family and friends and bingo at Notre Dame Church and the Flint and Niagra Senior Centers. Most of all, she loved to go shopping.
Loretta is survived by her Daughter and Son-in-law, Pauline and Ronnie Salmons of Fall River, her Sister-in-law, Connie Caron of Tiverton, RI and several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. She was the Sister of the late Joseph (Pete) Bernier, Leo (Rocky) Bernier and Julie Flynn. She was the Sister-in-law of the late Anita Britland and the dear friend of the late Lillian Roussel.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday at 8 AM at SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
9 AM at St. Bernadette Parish, 529 Eastern Ave., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 PM.
