Teresa Semedo Royal (65) of Brockton died Feb 10th in the Boston Medical Center. She was the widow of the late Curtis Royal.
She was born in Praia, Santiago, Cape Verde daughter of the late Gregorio and Domingas (Semedo) Pires and was a Brockton resident the past 28 years. She worked for Church Hill Linen Co. and was a Communicant of St. Edith Stein Church. Teresa enjoyed cooking and entertaining guests also making everyone laugh.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Sansao Cardoso and wife Jean Augustin, Tony Cardoso and wife Joan Dejesus all of Brockton, 4 daughters, Antonieta Pires and husband Carlos Barros, Wanda Semedo and her partner Ebony Flonory also Paula Almeida all of Brockton, Amarilda Cardoso of Fall River, 17 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Maria Pires of Brockton and Maria Jesus Semedo of Portugal, also her sister in law Christine Royal of New York.
Funeral services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court St. Brockton Tuesday Feb. 17th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Melrose cemetery, weather permitting. Visitation Monday Feb. 16th from 5-9 PM.
