The Funreral for Casimer Serwatka is Postponed do to the Snow Storm and will take place on Wednesday Feb.11th. Same times

Casimer J. Serwatka, age 96, of Lynn, died at the Rosewood Nursing Home Friday, Feb. 6 after a brief illness.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Alexander and Stefania (Glowacki) Serwatka and husband of the late Edna A. (Kavaleski) Serwatka.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy as a boatswain mate first class. He worked in the Aircraft Instrument Department at the General Electric Company for over 40 years.

He was a member of the Polish Legion American Veterans Post 56, St. Michael’s Polish National Alliance Lodge 630 and St. Michael’s Retirees. He also enjoyed working in his garden.

He is survived by his daughter, Alice M. Weideman and her husband John R. of Lynnfield; his grandson, David J. Weideman and his wife Diana of Hooksett, N.H., and great grandson, Drew Weideman. He was the brother of the late Edwin A. Serwatka and Florence M. Bishop.

Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service Monday, Feb. 9 from the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn at 9:30 a.m., followed by his Mass of Christian burial in St. Pius V. Church, Maple Street, Lynn, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boston Street, Lynn. Visiting hours prior to the service from 8:30 a.m.
