Vivian M. Sykes (DiSalvo) age 75 of Canton passed away suddenly January 31st at the Mass General Hospital. Born and raised in Canton, she graduated from Canton High School and was a lifelong resident of the town. She worked for the Bank of Canton in the Residential Lending Department for many years before retiring in 2005. Vivian enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and at her summer home in Hyannis and was an avid bowler. Beloved wife of Charles “Sonny” Sykes. Mother of Cynthia A. Rudy of Canton, Lisa Sayed and her husband Sherif of Canton and Charles A. and his wife Sarah of Foxboro. Mother in law of the late Joseph Rudy, Jr.. Grandmother of Joseph, Emily and Justin Rudy of Canton, Zachary, Noah and Brady Sayed of Canton and Haley, Lily and Charles “CJ” Sykes of Foxboro. Sister of Gloria Bolognese of Medford and the late Susan Lane. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Tuesday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Gerard Majella Church Canton Wednesday morning at 10:00. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
