Emily C. Laham passed away at the Winchester Hospital on Thursday. She was 81. Raised in Boston’s West End and Somerville, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Arena) Saitta. A Medford resident for most of her life, Emily was devoted to her family. Once her children were grown, Emily worked as a teller with the former Stoneham Savings Bank, until she retired. She lived in Stoneham for the past 16 years.

The beloved mother of Michele Capozzi and her husband Daniel of Stoneham, Raymond Laham and his wife Pamela of Stoneham and Ronald Laham of Watertown, Emily was a loving grandmother to Tara Delaney, Heather Laham and Megan Laham. She was a dear sister to Peter Saitta, Florence Rhoda and the late Anthony Saitta.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday February 4th at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
