Arthur W. Gelinas 78, of Park Place, died January 22, 2015 at Woonsocket Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was the husband of Marguerite (Dugas) Gelinas. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Donat and Albertine (Payette) Gelinas. Arthur was a security guard at Lincoln Mall for many years retiring in 1992. He had previously worked as a mechanic at Jay Motors.
Besides his wife he is survived by five sons; Wilfred, Roland, Arthur Jr., John and William Gelinas, and four daughters; Julie Gelinas, Lori Allard, Brenda Poore, and Jennifer Harrison, two sisters; Florence Dumas and Jeanne Sylvestre, and ten grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Lynne Gelinas.
His funeral with visitation will be held Monday 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
