Vivian Y. (Jette) Smith, 84, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge after a brief illness. Her husband, Mike smith passed away in 1974.
She leaves behind 3 children, Deborah Warchol and her husband Kenneth of Northbridge, Mike Smith, Jr. and his wife Maureen of Thompson, CT., and Fred Smith of Dudley. She also leaves behind six grandchildren; Lindsay and Keri Warchol, Stacey, Maureen and Coleson Smith and Nicole Smith. She also leaves behind a daughter-in-law Joann Seraphin, and was predeceased by a daughter-in-law Cathy Smith.
She was born in Douglas, the daughter of Fred and Blanche (Manville) Jette, and was the only child. She graduated from Douglas High School in 1951 and lived in Washington, D.C., the Phillipines, Savannah, GA., and Bangor, Maine with her husband who was in an Air Force career veteran for over 20 years. They moved to Webster in 1968, which she called home ever since. She was a long time member of St. Louis Parish in Webster.
She loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren, especially on the holidays and at the many family functions. She also loved to spend time with her many close friends over morning coffee or at lunch.
Vivian was a kind, loving and upbeat lady and loved living life. She always had a joke or funny comment that gave everyone around her a good laugh.

At Vivian’s request there are No Funeral Services.
Burial will be at a later date after cremation. She will be layed to rest at St. Denis Cemetery in Douglas alongside her husband and her parents.
The ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
