Betty May (Wettergreen) Sanangelo passed away on January 28, 2015. She was 91 years old.
Betty May was born in Stoneham, and grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. She was a longtime resident of Malden and worked at the Malden Hospital as a nurse’s aid for many years.
Betty May was the devoted wife of 56 years to Peter Sanangelo. She was the beloved mother of Kenneth Watson and his wife Iris of S. Yarmouth, Carl Watson and his wife Marilyn of ME, Kathy Greenwood and her husband Bill of VA, David Watson and his wife Susan of Malden, and Peter Sanangelo and his wife Debbie of Malden. Betty May was the cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday January 31st at 12:00p.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Hearts Church 297 Main Street, Malden at 1:00p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Friday January 30th from 4-8p.m.
