Lorraine M. (Pinault) Girard, 83 of Peabody, died Friday at the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Beverly following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Rene A. Girard with whom she shared 63 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Rose M. (Dandurand) Pinault. A graduate of Salem High School, Lorraine worked as a bookkeeper for the Purity Supreme food chain.
Devoted to her family and extended family, Lorraine’s other great passion was for shopping for anything and everything. Her great sense of humor and laugh will be missed by many.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son Kevin P. Girard and his wife Tricia of Newbury, NH, a daughter, Carol A. Brewster and Her husband John E. of Burlington, a brother Henry Pinault of California, a sister-in-law, May Pinault of Salem, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Roland Pinault and sister, Patricia Watson.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
