RESENDES, EDUARDA Eduarda (Patricio) Resendes, 81, passed away on January 20, 2015, surrounded by her family. Born in Sao Miguel, Azores, she lived most of her adult life in the Fall River/Westport, MA area, as well as many happy times spent in Florida. She was married for 62 years to Rodrigo (Roger) Resendes, and together they had four children – Gilda (Philip) Rosetta, Maryjean Walsh, Stephen (Gretchen) Resendes, and Debra (John) Findlay. Eduarda workred as a seamstress for 36 years before retiring and devoting herself full-time as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a long-time member of the Fall River, MA and Tiverton, RI, congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses and also spent many hours volunteering in Bible education work. Along with her husband and children, Eduarda is survived by her beloved sister Lubelia (Mariano) Cabral, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and loved ones.

A service for Eduarda will be held on Friday, JAN. 30, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, 100 N. Eastern Ave., Fall River, MA. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River, MA. Arrangements are under the direction of the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. MAIN ST. FALL RIVER, MA.
