Augusta, GA - Entered into rest Wednesday, January 21, 2015, Tony Warren Howard, Jr., 56, loving husband to Constance Howard.
Mr. Howard was a native of Mount Airy, NC before he enlisted in the United States Army. After more than twenty three years of service, SFC Howard retired in Augusta GA in 2005. Following his military career Howard worked as a doctrine writer for The Department of the Army, RLM Communications, Inc. and CmTech, Inc. He also spent several years with The Angelo Group, Inc where he specialized in concepts writing and military analysis support to the US Army Cyber Center of Excellence. In 2014 he founded and served as President and Chief Operating Officer at H&R Consulting, Inc. Howard attended American Public University where he studied Military History.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Rebekah Howard Tappandick (Gary), Sarah Grace Howard (fiancé- Jacob Doolittle); grandchildren: Haydin Tappandick, Aurora Tappandick; brothers: John Gregory Howard, John "Jack" Howard Edinger, III (Anne Fairchild); and mother: Yvonne Huffman Edinger.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Larry Doolittle officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
