John A. "Jack" Halloran, 78, of Derry, NH, died Friday January 23, 2015 in Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. He was born in Andover, MA on April 2, 1936, a son of the late John A. and Hazel (Kennedy) Halloran. He had been a resident of Derry since 1990, formerly living in Lawrence, MA. Jack was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean era. Jack was a thoroughbred horse trainer for over 50 years. He was passionate about American football.
He is survived by his wife Jeannette (Harrington) Halloran; his children and grandchildren; as well as his sister, Marie Harrison of Dennisport, MA.
Calling hours were held on Friday, January 30th from 9 - 11am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services followed at 11:00am in the funeral home. A graveside service was held at 1:00pm in the chapel of the NH State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH.
