John James McMahon, age 76, passed away January 22, 2015 at the Sarah Brayton Nursing Center. Born in Norwood, he was the loving husband of Donna L. (McDonald) McMahon and son of the late John and Jeannette (Doucette) McMahon. John was a veteran of the AirForce and the Army who served for 26 years. He was a member of the V.F.W. Taunton Post 611, American Legion Post 303 in Swansea and the Taunton Rifle and Pistol Club. He played for the Pool League at McGraff’s in Taunton for many years and was an avid Harley Davidson Motorcycle Rider.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children John, Janet and Jamie McMahon; his step-children Meghan R. DeSousa (husband Mario), Carlos Sabino Jr. (wife Mandy), Scott McCome and Henry McCome; his grandchildren Nicholas Sabino, Cole Sabino, Ashton R. DeSousa, Juiliana DeSousa and one on the way Kaylana DeSousa. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his step-son Kevin McCome and his brother Dennis L. McMahon.
His funeral service will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on THURSDAY, Jan. 29, 2015 with visitation from 9-10 A.M. Interment will be private. www.rogersfuneral.com.
