James E. Malcolm
Retired owner of Gaynor Industries

TEWKSBURY: James Edward Malcolm, age 78, a resident of Tewksbury for 17 years, formerly of Everett and Somerville, passed away at the Lawrence General Hospital on Monday, January 19, 2015.
He was the beloved husband of Janet P. (Geswell) Malcolm, who passed away on December 13, 2013.
Born in Everett on April 15, 1936, he was the son of the late Alexander A. Malcolm and the late Gladys T. (Joyce) Malcolm.
Jim was raised in Everett and graduated from the Everett Vocational High School.
Prior to his retirement in 2010, he was a partner and co-owner of Gaynor Industries currently of Wilmington, formerly of Everett.
Jim was a former member of the Somerville City Club and the VFW Post 19 of Somerville.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his Honda Gold Wing Motorcycle, as well as hunting and fishing .
Survivors include two sons, James E. Malcolm, Jr. and his wife Jacqueline of Tewksbury and John W. "Jack" Malcolm and his wife Michelle of Peabody; four grandchildren, James G. "Jimmy", Caitlyn, Jack Jr., and Lauren Malcolm; also many nieces and nephews.
Jim was the brother of the late Joyce Bartlett, Joan Kodzis, Alexander and John Malcolm.

Calling hours are Friday, Jan. 23, from 3-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, immediately followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Please Omit Flowers.
