New Bedford – Jeanne N. Rogers, age 82 of New Bedford, formerly of Dartmouth passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Bedford Village Nursing Home. She was the widow of Frederick J. Rogers and the daughter of Maria (Verissimo) and Manuel Barboza.
She was a lifelong resident of this area and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Allergy Associates until her retirement.
She is survived by her 3 children: Frederick Rogers, Jr. of Dartmouth, Randall Rogers of Dartmouth and Christine Hart of New Bedford; grandchildren: Shane, Shena and Randi Mae Rogers, Sophia and Phaedra Hart, and Kristy, Dylan and Noah Souto; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Jeanne was predeceased by her siblings: Doc “Babs” Barboza, Antone “Babs” Barboza and Mary Oliveira.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Seaman's Bethel on Saturday, February 21 beginning at 2:00 P.M. Arrangements were placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
