FALL RIVER… John Carvalho, 69, of Fall River passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
He was the husband of Susan (Oliveira) Carvalho of Fall River.
Born in Santa Barbara, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Antonio and Maria (Santos) Carvalho.
Mr. Carvalho was employed by Pioneer Finishing for 27 years before retiring in 1999. He enjoyed fishing, arts & crafts and spending time with his family and friends.
Along with his wife, survivors include 2 daughters: Dawn M. Looker of Swansea and Malinda A. Carvalho of Fall River, 2 sons: Michael J. Oliveira of Brandenburg, KY and John C. Carvalho of Fall River, 6 sisters: Mary Oliveira of Somerset, Edwina Aguiar of Somerset, Donna Burns of Fall River, Angie Fraitas of Fall River, Fern Carvalho of Fall River and Terry Augusto of Swansea, 3 brothers: Antonio Carvalho of Somerset, Joseph Carvalho Westport and Henry Carvalho of Westport, 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, many nieces and nephews.
At the request of the family, services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River, MA.
