Stephen N. Harris of Taunton, formerly of Dorchester and Stoughton passed away on the afternoon of January 16, 2015 at Morton Hospital. Mr. Harris was 59 years old. He was the loving husband of Joan Harris (Riley) of Taunton. Stephen was the proud father of Shawn Harris and his wife Micheala of Raynham and Ryan Harris of Taunton. He also leaves behind his cousin who was like a brother; David Levine of Florida.
Stephen was born on April 4, 1955 in Boston; the only son of Sydney Harris of Revere and the late Beverly Levine. He was raised in Dorchester and later moved to Stoughton. Mr. Harris was a graduate of Stoughton High School and later worked as an EMT for the Fallon Ambulance Service and spent time as a car salesman.
Mr. Harris and his wife enjoyed traveling on the weekend together; partaking in camping trips and antiquing. He loved routing on the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots. A sports fan, Stephen was a talented softball player and he would participate in various softball leagues and enjoyed the rivalry between his Fallon Ambulance Softball team and the Brewster Ambulance team. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Cremation will take place at Woodlawn-North Purchase Crematory in Attleboro. A private Celebration of Life will be held at the Harris Family Home.
