Obituary

Marie Therese Desjardins 91, of Fairfield Ave. died Thursday at The Holiday Retirement Home in Lincoln. She was the wife of Normand J. Desjardins and the late Emile J. Croteau. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Ovila and Marie Rose (Boisclair) Bergeron. Marie was a sewer for several area clothing manufacturers including Woonsocket Coat and Suit, retiring in 1985.

Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Croteau of Woonsocket, two grandchildren, Michael H. Croteau of Blackstone, and Donna Croteau-Connell of Cumberland, and six great-grandchildren, LorriAnne Sacco, Samuel Croteau, Michaela, Julie, Sean and Adam Connell. She was the mother of the late Richard A. Croteau and sister of the late Gerard Bergeron.

Her funeral will be held Monday with visitation from 9:00 -10:00 a.m. at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agatha’s Church, Fairfield St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
