Timothy F. O’Leary, age 69, of Winter Garden, FL, formerly of Brockton, died January 14, 2015. He was the husband of the late Florence (Fringuelli) O’Leary. Born in Boston, son of the late Timothy J. and Margaret F. (Grinley) O’Leary. Tim was raised in Brighton and was a graduate of Brighton High School. For 30 years he had been employed as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service, in Brighton and Braintree, Branch 34. Tim was known for his charitable work for children’s organizations and while living in Brockton, volunteered at the Boy Scouts of America, St. Colman CYO, and the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy drives through the Post Office. While living in Florida he was an active volunteer for the Give Kids the World-Make a Wish program.
Tim was the father of Timothy J. O’Leary of Shrewsbury, Susan O’Leary and Peter O’Leary both of Manchester, NH; grandfather of Kayla and Ashley O’Leary and Brianna, Madelyn and William Petersen; brother of Patricia Kelleher of Manchester, NH and Paul O’Leary of Watertown, MA. He was the brother of the late Gerald, John and Kevin O’Leary.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday January 19, 2015 at Christ the King Parish, (formerly St. Colman Church) 54 Lyman Street, Brockton, MA at 10:30am. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Give Kids the World, 210 South Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746.
