Mr. Aneillo F. Mazza, of Somerville and a former Stoneham resident passed away peacefully on January 11, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a lengthy illness. He was 74. "Neil", as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was the beloved husband of the late Tia R. (Schiavo). Born in Somerville, Neil was the son of the late Louis and Adelina (Marrota) Mazza.

Neil was raised and educated in Somerville. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. For over thirty years, Neil owned and operated the Willow Jazz Club of Somerville. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, playing cards with family and friends, spending time on the ocean boating and tuna fishing.

Neil was the devoted father of Catherine Mazza of Medford, Carol Mazza of Medford, Deena Mazza - DeNisco and her husband William DeNisco of Everett, and the late Rudolph Mazza. He was the loving papa of Tiana and Billie DeNisco and many extended grandchildren. Godfather of Stephanie Antonuccio and Jamie Fuller and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Friday, January 16th, at 12 p.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown, at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
