Armanda Cabral of Taunton formerly of Santa Maria, Azores passed away on the morning of January 13, 2015 at Morton Hospital. Mrs. Cabral was 76 years old. Armanda was the loving wife of Jose Cabral of Taunton. She was the loving mother of Breno R. Lima and his wife Holly of Taunton and Maria Cardoso and her husband Fernando of E. Freetown. Armanda was the proud grandmother of Ryan Lima, Shana Lima, Seth Lima, Dominic Tigano, Benjamin Tigano and Fernando Cardoso, Jr. She was the blessed great grandmother of Ethan Kelliher and Kayne Carreiro. Mrs. Cabral leaves behind her brother Antonio Manuel Bento and his wife Maria Clara of Brazil. Armanda was also a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many cousins.
Born on November 22, 1938 in Santa Maria, Azores; Armanda was the daughter of the late Boanerges and Adelina Rodrigues. She and her family lived in Santa Maria, Azores before moving and making their home in Taunton. Mrs. Cabral worked for F B Rogers Silver Co for many years. Also Swank’s Inc in Attleboro until her retirement in 1989.
Armanda was dedicated to her family; especially her grandchildren as they were everything to her. She will always be remembered for the beautiful home that she made and her generosity to others. When there was some free time Mrs. Cabral enjoyed working with needlepoint and crochet. She will be loved and missed by all who had the chance to know her.
Visiting Hours will be held on Sunday January 18th from 4-7pm at Taunton Funeral Home 8 Crapo St (off route 140/Tremont St.) Taunton. A Catholic funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday January 19th at 10am. Interment will follow in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton.
