Alberto DeAndrade (83) died January 12th in the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Brighton. He was the husband of the late Ana (Andrade).
He was born in Mosteiros, Fogo, Cape Verde son of the late Manuel and Maria (Rodrigues) DeAndrade and resided in Brockton since 2008. While in Fogo Alberto was a local farmer. He loved playing cards, telling stories, listening and dancing to traditional Cape Verdean music. He especially liked attending family gatherings.
Survivors include 2 sons - Branquinho and Boinho DeAndrade both of Fogo, 6 daughters - Maria R. Andrade and Maria Alice Ramos DeAndrade both of Brockton, Branquinha Andrade of Portugal, Severa, Dji Dji and Adelina Andrade all of Fogo ( also the late Bebe Andrade). Several sisters and brothers in Cape Verde, many grand and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday January 15th from 4-8 pm. Burial will be held next week in the Cimeterio LaRanjo, Mosteiros, Fogo Cape Verde.
