Maria Auxiliadora (Casemiro) Cabral, age 85 of Westport, passed away Jan. 11, 2014 at Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Ponta Delgada, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife if the late José Cabral and the daughter of the late José Pacheco Casemiro and Clara (Pacheco) Casemiro. Maria was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She just “loved life”.
She is survived by her Children: Rosa Tavares (husband Joseph) of Dartmouth, Jesse Cabral (wife Grace) of Westport, Mary Jo Ferreira (husband Joseph) of Westport, and Deborah Mello (husband Manuel) of Fall River; Siblings: Cidalia Pires, João, and Albert Casemiro, and the late Fatima Soares; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on WEDNESDAY with calling hours from 9:30-10:30 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael’s Church at 11:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. www.rogersfuneral.com.
