Mary L. Georgon, 93, passed away suddenly on January 8. She was born December 4, 1921 in Salem, New Hampshire a daughter of Salim and Jennie( Rosek) Jbara .
Ms. Georgon is survived her husband of sixty-seven years, Jacob Georgon; her son Steven Georgon and his wife Anita and a grandson Joseph, all of East Douglas; her son Thomas Georgon of Worcester; her sister Elizabeth Fegreus and her husband Edward of North Brookfield; her niece Mary Elizabeth Reynolds of Paxton; and her nephew Edward Fegreus of Cohasset
Ms. Georgon attended the Worcester public schools and the Girl’s Trade School, where she learned stitching. Her great dream was to have her own home. To help her husband Jacob raise money for this, she worked as a stitcher in several Worcester companies including Rickey Bra, Davey’s Harness and Come Play products, all while raising her two sons and keeping house. A hard worker, she also instilled that value in her sons.
Her funeral will be held on Monday January 12th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St in Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00 am at St Stephen’s Church in Worcester.
