WORCESTER-Edmund B. “PIE” Hudson, 53, passed away on Saturday, January 10th after a brief illness. Ed leaves his five siblings, John J. Hudson and his wife Lynn of Stoughton, Richard M. Hudson of Worcester, Anne M. Hudson of Worcester, Mary E. Berthiaume and her husband John of Worcester and Katherine R. Hudson and her husband Rick Bennett of Holden; five nieces and nephews, Michael, Sean, Andrew, Kelly and Patrick and many friends who loved him.
Ed was born in Worcester the son of John O. and Catherine M. (Sullivan) Hudson. He graduated from St. John’s High School, UMass Lowell and received his MBA at Clark University. Ed worked as a teacher at Worcester Adult Learning Center and formerly worked at GTE. Ed was an excellent and avid golfer and was a former member of Bedrock Golf Club in Rutland. He was a member of the Alhambra Council Knights of Columbus #88 and its golf league and the Worcester County St. Patrick’s Parade Committee where he received its Judy Wilkinson Award in 2011. He also served as a math tutor. Ed loved spending time with family and friends and sharing a laugh.
Ed’s visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 13th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at CALLAHAN, FAY & CASWELL FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. His Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 14th at 10:00 am at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding St. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.
