Muriel P. (Biron) Caron 83, formerly of Bernon St. died peacefully with her daughters by her side on Friday, January 9th at Woonsocket Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis J. Caron with whom she celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary, June 6, 2013. Born in Woonsocket, July 28, 1931 she was a daughter of the late Marcel and Emma (Rivet) Biron. Muriel worked in retail for most of her life at several area businesses including CVS. She enjoyed needlework and cake decorating. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Muriel was devoted to her children, Lucille M. Champagne and her husband Gerald and Priscilla Heard all of Woonsocket, and her five grandchildren, James, Thomas, William and Andrew Champagne all of Woonsocket, and Kelly Granata of Pawtucket. She adored her great -granddaughter Dafne. She also leaves a sister Jeannine Robidoux of Bellingham.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Park Ave. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-7 PM. The family would like to thank the staff at Woonsocket Health Center for their compassionate care.
