New Bedford – Carlos A. Sousa Botelho, age 55 of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Teresa (Ferreira) Botelho and the son of Maria Armanda (Sousa) and Dorvalino Botelho.
His family includes his children: Marco Paulo Sousa and Luis Sousa as well as several other children in the Azores; 4 siblings: Leonardo Botelho, Dorvalino Botelho, Jose Luis Botelho and Maria da Graca Branco (Botelho); as well as 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Carlos was predeceased by his brother, Jorge Botelho.
His funeral will be Tuesday beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place Monday evening in the funeral home from 5 - 7 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
